Four Oaks Children’s Centre is looking to work with Duncan Fisher.  Duncan is going out on the road talking to children and family services all over the country about using digital communications to enable services to engage with all the family, and we are hoping his advice and expertise can support our children’s centre and the services we provide and promote.Dad.info logo

Emma says:

“Key benefits children will get from the regular practice of yoga:

  • Breathing techniques can help children with a stress related illness and asthma. It can also help promote healthier sleeping patterns
  • Relaxation can help with anxiety and nervousness
  • Postures can recharge a week immune system and help to tone the whole body, which can help reduce the risk of childhood obesity

Overall YogaBugs classes will help children to develop agility, stamina and flexibility.  All of which can help them to go into their adolescent and adult years with increased confidence and self esteem, which in turn lowers the risk of eating disorders and depression”.

Baby Signing

The Benefits of Baby Signing:

  • Enables babies to communicate their needs effectively reducing frustration. This improves the parent/child bond and reduces tantrums and other behaviour problems
  • Helps parents to focus on key words which with the signs, improves babies understanding even before they can sign for themselves
  • When used alongside speech it increases development of spoken language
  • It is fun! You will be amazed how fast your baby learns and how much they know long before they could have the speech to tell you
